How to Join the Tour

Requests come from different cities and countries, so the tour logistics are organized to allow everyone to join. To participate, you will receive important information about meeting times and locations from our tour organizer.

Traditionally, the tour starts in Osh and heads to Batken, where the Madygen excursion begins. For participants traveling from Osh, the 230 km journey to Batken is made more exciting with stops at legendary geocultural sites and stories that enrich your experience and knowledge.

Travelers from the Fergana Valley (Uzbekistan) can join the group in Kadamjay. Please indicate this in your booking request. Travelers coming from Khujand (Tajikistan) can join the group in Batken.

Tour Program

Day 1: Journey to the Land of Dried Apricots – Arrival in Batken

08:00 – Departure from Osh. We head to the foothills of the Turkestan Range – untouched by tourists.

Our route leads to the small town of Batken, nestled between the mountains and the Fergana Valley.

09:00 – Stop at Dangi Canyon, home to rare red-listed griffons.

Next, we explore Shahimardan Valley, enjoying the stunning landscapes of the Alay Mountains.

13:30 – Lunch at an authentic riverside teahouse – a sacred and cultural spot.

16:30 – Arrival in Batken and check-in at the hotel.

After a short rest, we visit a natural gallery featuring rare rock paintings.

19:30 – Dinner at the hotel, followed by a lecture by a geologist guide: The Tien Shan in the context of Central Asia – millions of years before the Silk Road.


Day 2: Exploring the Geopark – Batken to Madygen

08:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.

08:30 – Departure to Madygen, with photo stops along Tortkul Reservoir.

09:00 – Excursion through the valleys of the geopark. Highlights include: Sphinx Valleys, Unkur-Sai, Mollusks Valley, and ancient metallurgy sites. Discover why this area is a paradise for geologists, paleontologists, photographers, and nature enthusiasts. Witness rare red-listed fauna. The landscapes feel otherworldly – as if on another planet!

We also visit the ancient metallurgical yard of Kani-Gut cave, the Dinosaur Valley, Koshum Spring, and the ancient Mushketov Poplars. End the day at the Madygen Oasis, a sacred site for the Naiman people.

13:30 – Arrival at the Madygen Oasis.

14:00 – Lunch in the Madygen grove.

15:00 – Adventurous excursion to the Kalcha-Bashi Valley and Tenge-Sai Canyon, exploring wild, untouched landscapes.

18:30 – Return to the oasis. Accommodation in yurts or tents in the luxurious poplar grove of Madygen. Facilities include toilets and showers. Note: no mobile connection here – complete immersion in nature.

19:00 – Plov (pilaf) masterclass, followed by dinner.

Evening – a sensory experience by the campfire under the stars. Time feels suspended in Madygen – a place of silence and harmony, far from civilization and distractions.


Day 3: Millions of Years Before the Silk Road

08:00 – Breakfast at the camp.

09:00 – Demonstration of metal smelting from the ancient Kani-Gut Cave mine, learning how ore was processed in the 9th–10th centuries.

12:00 – Lunch at Madygen camp.

13:00 – Travel to the Dzhangakty Canyons, exploring the colorful Sary-Too Mountains along the way.

16:00 – Visit Samarkandek village, where local women hand-weave traditional carpets using centuries-old techniques.

17:00 – Participate in a traditional carpet-weaving masterclass, guided by a cultural expert.

18:30 – Departure to Batken.

19:30 – Arrival in Batken, check-in at the hotel.

20:00 – Dinner at the hotel.


Day 4: Unknown Kyrgyzstan – Back to the 19th Century

08:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.

08:30 – Departure to unexplored areas of Turkestan. Travel along mountain roads with stunning turns and serpentine paths. Witness the monumental landscapes of the Soch Valley and its grand canyon. Visit tiny mountain villages perched on terraces, and the ruins of Khan’s Fortress, once ruled by Khudoyar Khan of the Kokand Khanate.

Stop at the highland village of Zardaly, where traditional practices like drying nasvai (a local herb) continue – a unique glimpse into regional culture.

14:00 – Lunch in an authentic house in Zardaly.

15:00 – Return to Batken, admiring the landscapes from a different perspective.

18:00 – Rest at the hotel.

19:00 – Dinner at the hotel. Optional evening excursion to watch the sunset over Tortkul Reservoir.


Day 5: Return to Reality

09:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.

09:30 – Departure to Osh.

13:00 – Lunch at a local teahouse on the way.

14:00 – Continue the journey to Osh.

16:30 – Arrival in Osh and check-in at the hotel.

17:30 – Excursion to the sacred Takt-Sulayman Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Itinerary

ПРОГРАММА ТУРА

День 1. Путешествие на родину кураги. Встреча с Баткеном

Выезд в 8:00 – Отправляемся в предгорья Туркестанского хребта – места без туристов.

Наш путь лежит в небольшой город Баткен, между горным хребтом и Ферганской долиной.

9:00 – По пути заглянем в каньон Данги – родина красно книжных грифов

Остановимся в долине Шахимардан, где увидим пейзажи Алайского хребта.

13:30 – обед в аутентичной чайхане – сакральном месте на берегу реки.

Около 16:30 прибудем в Баткен, где разместимся в гостинице.

После короткого отдыха отправимся в природную галерею редких наскальных рисунков.

19:30 – Ужин в гостинице. После ужина лекция от гида-геолога: Тянь-Шаня и  Центральная Азия. Миллионы лет до Шёлкового пути.

 

День 2. Знакомство с геопарком. Баткен – Мадыген  

8:00 – Завтрак в гостинице

8:30 – Выезд в Мадыген. По пути остановки для фото на берегу Тортгульского водоёма

9:00 – Экскурсия по долинам геопарка, где вы увидите и услышите о Долинах Сфинкса, Ункур-Сай, Моллюсков, Древних металлургах. Поймёте, что здесь рай для геологов, палеонтологов, фотографов и любителей природной эстетики. Редкая краснокнижная фауна. Атмосфера – словно в нереальном мире, на другой планете! Мы посетим древний металлургический двор, где получали, метал из руды пещерного рудника Кани-Гут. Долина динозавров и родник Кошум. Древние тополя Мушкетова. Оазис Мадыген.

К 13:30 – доберёмся в оазис Мадыген, который считается одним из доминантных сакральных мест для Найманов.

14:00 – Обед в роще Мадыген

15:00 – авантюрная экскурсия к панораме и в долину Калча-Баши – дикие неизведанные места. Посещаем каньон Тенге-Сай.

18:30 – Возвращаемся в оазис. Размешаемся в юртах или палатках в роскошной тополиной роще Мадыген. В лагере имеются туалеты и душевые. Но здесь отсутствует связь с цивилизацией. Здесь тишина и созерцание природы.

19:00 – Мастер-класс по плову, переходящий в ужин.

Вечером – время ощущений!

Костёр, звёзды и ощущение, будто время остановилось.

В Мадыгене время замирает. Это место где природа возвращает тебя к тишине. Без связи, без людей, без суеты и лишних звуков – только пространство свет, шёпот ветра и живое дыхание земли.

В этом безмолвии рождается ощущение полной гармонии с природой, когда слышишь не мир вокруг, а самого себя. Здесь можно, наконец, услышать, как звучит покой.

Это место для тех, для кого городская суета превратилась в депрессию, стресс и агрессию. Вдали от цивилизации, где не ловит связь и не спешит время, лежит Мадыген – мир безмолвия и звёзд.

День 3. Миллионы лет до Шёлкового пути  

8:00 – Завтрак в лагере

9:00 – Реконструкция по выплавке металла добытого из древнего пещерного рудника Кани-Гут. Вы узнаете историю о том, как во IX-X вв. плавили руду и получали метал.

12:00 – Обед в лагере Мадыген

13:00 – Едем в каньоны Джангакты. Пейзажи обратного ракурса. По пути продолжаем исследовать цветные горы Сары-Тоо. Посещаем каньоны.

16:00 – Едем в село Самаркандек. Вам представится возможность увидеть, как местные женщины вручную ткут ковры. Здесь до сих пор сохранились традиции ручного ковроткачества из местного сырья, которые передаются из поколения к поколению.

17:00 – Участвуем в мастер-классе по традиционному ковроткачеству. Эксперт культуролог – будет сопровождать мастер-класс своими комментариями

18:30 – Выезд в Баткен

19:30 – Прибытие в Баткен. Размещение в гостинице

20:00 – Ужин

День 4. Неизвестный Кыргызстан. Назад в 19 век, 100 км

8:00 – завтрак в гостинице

8:30 – Выезд в неизведанные места Туркестана. Путь лежит по горной дороге с головокружительными поворотам, серпантинам, с эмоциями и адреналином. Вас ждёт встреча с монументальными ландшафтами долины Сох. Грандиозный одноимённый каньон. Приютившиеся на высоких террасах крохотные кишлаки. Развалины крепости Кан, правителя Кокандского ханства Худояр Хана. Высокогорное аутентичное село Зардалы – там, где сушат насвай. Да, да, вы увидите, где делают самый популярный кайф в Средней Азии – это насвай.

14:00 – Обед в одном из аутентичных домов в селе Зардалы

15:00 – Возвращение в Баткен, пейзажи под другим ракурсом.

18:00 – Отдых в гостинице

19:00 – Ужин в гостинице

После ужина, желающие могут отправиться наблюдать закат над Тортгульским водохранилищем

День 5. Возвращение в реальность

9:00 – Завтрак в гостинице

9:30 – Обратный путь в Ош

13:00 – Обед в чайхане п пути

14:00 – Выезд в Ош.

16:30 – Прибытие в Ош. Размещение в отеле

17:30 – В Оше экскурсия на святую гору Тахт и Сулайман – культурное наследие ЮНЕСКО
